Agapetus ochripes - Agapetus ochripes
Forewing length 3 to 5 mm.
Stony rivers and streams, but most common in larger water bodies.
Bivoltine with flight periods between May and October.
A scattered distribution through Scotland, Wales, northern England and an area of central southern England.
Seems to be quite rare in Leicestershire and Rutland. The Sapcote record of June 2013 may be the first confirmed adult record in VC55, the only previous record of this species is of a larva from Long Whatton brook recorded by the Environment Agency in 1999.
