Description

Forewing length 10 to 13 mm. A fairly plain dark brown species.

Lakes and slow rivers.

When to see it

June to August.

UK Status

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain, but less common in southern England.

VC55 Status

Uncommon or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland. The Sapcote record of 5th July 2013 is only the second for VC55, the first coming from the Grand Union Canal, Loughborough on 12th June 2010.
