Length 6 to 12 mm. A dark rather heavily speckled caddis.
Rivers and stony lakes. It may also be attracted to light.
May to September.
Larva spins a pouch shaped net in slow moving water.
Common and widespread in Britain.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
