Sympherobius elegans - Sympherobius elegans
One of several similar looking brown lacewings - detailed examination of specimen is necessary for identification.
Associated with deciduous woodland.
Summer and autumn.
Widespread but local in central and eastern England with a few isolated records in south Wales. So far it is absent from the rest of Wales and from the West Country, north west England, Scotland and Ireland but is probably under reecorded in these areas.
It seems to be infrequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
