Cladonia crispata

Description

Small squamules followed by smooth, upright, irregularly branched brownish-grey to olive-brown podetia with pale reticulations. Axils open, margins with finger-like extensions or narrow cups that sometimes develop into one-sided tiers.

Found in boggy areas and acid heaths.

Quite widespread in Britain, though it appears to be less common in central and eastern areas of Britain.
